Chief Development Officer
I develop affordable housing, often in old industrial buildings, and I study how money becomes power between nations.
At VOB Development LLC, I lead affordable and workforce housing projects financed with Low-Income Housing Tax Credits and historic tax credits, often in buildings that were mills, hotels, or offices. My training is in economics and international political economy.

Thoughts
Reserve Currencies
Reserve currencies follow power before they follow rules. Across five centuries of dominant currencies, institutions mattered less than the state behind the money.
Historic Sites
The best affordable housing sites are already built. Historic mills and downtown hotels sit on transit, in walkable centers, with structures built to last another century.
Capital Allocation
Layering historic tax credits with LIHTC turns a vacant landmark into homes that would cost far more to build new on the edge of town.

Monetary Power and the Limits of Liberal Institutionalism
